How can I find out information about the benefits and costs of advertising on CitySales.ca?- Download and read our advertising information package.
How often are the automated sales listings sent by email to shoppers?
- Every Thursday night at midnight. These emails notify shoppers of current sales, as well as any sales in their chosen categories which are beginning in the next 7 days.
Who enters information regarding our business and our sales and uploads our flyers – us or CitySales.ca?
- You do. CitySales.ca is fully automated to allow you to do this yourself. This also allows you to make changes and updates quickly and easily when necessary.
Why can't I access my "expired" sales, and how do I remove them?
- You can make changes to your sales up until the last day the sale is on. After a sale ends, it will no longer appear to shoppers on the site and will be marked "expired". We will remove expired sales from your "Manage Sales" section once you have been billed for them. (During our current free promotion, however, you will not be billed for anything.)
Billing Questions:
How much does it cost to advertise on CitySales.ca?
- For a limited time, EVERYTHING IS FREE. We’re offering permanently free business listings to businesses that register now, and temporarily free sales listings.
For how long will advertising on CitySales.ca be free?
- If you register during our free promotion period, your business listing will always be free. We have yet to determine when we will start charging for advertising sales, but we will provide a minimum of 30 days notice by email.
How much will advertising sales cost after the free promotion period ends?
- The cost is yet to be finalized, but we intend to keep it very reasonable. The cost will likely be on a per day basis for each day that a sale is advertised on the site.
Will I need to take some action to avoid being billed once the free promotion period ends?
- No. You will need to take action in order TO be billed. This way, you won't be receiving any unexpected bills. If you provide us with your billing information when the free promotion period ends, you will be able to continue posting your sales. If you choose not to provide us with your billing information, your ability to post sales will be disabled, but your business listing will continue to remain active at no cost.

- Yes. CitySales.ca will expand soon across Canada and will include many new features for both merchants and shoppers.
